The purpose of this position is: 
Train Millwrights to be fully competent in all tasks and sub tasks required by a Tasiast Millwright.  The instruction takes place in classrooms and training workshops and the competencies are verified through equipment and component service and repair conducted on-the-job.  Develop instruction and test material to support Tasiast Millwright programs, following curricula development procedures.  Where appropriate, counsel and coach individual learners.  Meet
or exceed Tasiast/Kinross Safety, health, and environmental standards .  Contribute as a member of a large team of
educational professionals, at all times demonstrating those behaviors that fully support Training and Development Department (T&D) values, as well as Kinross Gold Corporation and Tasiast Mauritanie policies and procedures.  

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are 
1.             Demonstrate behaviors that match T&D values, follow and apply Tasiast Health/Safety/Environmental policies and procedures, in order to be a role model for development program participants. 
2.             Demonstrate competence in the principles and application of competency based learning, so that development programs delivered and assessed meet T&D standards. 
3.             Professionally design and deliver/facilitate Millwright training to meet T&D customer development needs and quality standards. 
4.             Lead others in setting up training workshops and classrooms which meet Tasiast requirements and which will support both training and production.   
5.             Understand and  competently apply professionally accepted principles of adult learning so that learners are given maximum opportunity to develop job competence. 
6.             Assist in the creation competency based assessment tools, professionally conduct on and off the job competency Millwright assessments to ensure assessment standards are met. 
7.             Assist in scheduling and communicating learning programs, follow schedules to ensure that programs are delivered as planned. 
8.             Accurately record and report participant learning and assessment results so that participants’ records are consistently kept up to date and recorded in the company learning management system. 
9.             Respond to customer learning and development requirements, provide Millwright technical support and advice in order to assist T&D meet/exceed customer expectations.  


The key challenges in this position include: 
1.             Consistently delivering learning and assessment activities that truly achieve the specific learning outcomes for job competencies. 
2.             Establishing professional Millwright quality and quantity standards which meet Tasiast’s present and future skill requirements. 
3.             Managing learning situations that vary from "one on one" coaching to group delivery, and teaching others to operate in similar environments. 
4.             Establishing a workplace culture in which safety is completely integrated. 
5.             Sensitively and professionally work with learners from a wide range of cultures

Post-secondary education in mechanical / electrical engineering degree and five years experience as a Millwright – or - Certificate as a journeyman Millwright from a recognized equipment manufacturer, state operated apprentice system, or technical training college and 5 years experience Completion of a program in instruction technology and course development In addition specialized programs which lead to proficiencies in: Analytical Thinking, Concern for Safety & Environment, Customer Success Orientation, Cultural Sensitivity, and Team Leadership.   
The key areas of Millwright instructor decision-making responsibility are: 
The design, equipping, and operation of Millwright training workshops. Adjusting the rates and means by which learning programs are delivered to learners’ rates of progress. 

The physical demands and work environment that are representative are:
·          Able to work safely in a desert mining environment subject to loud noise, vibration, dust and diesel exhaust, and insect and water born health hazards.

Purpose of Role
To provide complex technical support and managerial leadership to the Site Utilities Water, Power and Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance sections. To ensure teams follow established policies, practices, and procedures when completing work assignments. To provide work direction to a diverse team of water, infrastructure, electrical and power plant teams. It is critical to this role the efficient transfer of knowledge to the local Mauritanian staff ensuring rigorous performance management is implemented as well as succession and development plans are in place with the aim of attaining Kinross Mauritanisation objectives. This role reports to Tasiast Site Services Manager and leads a team of expats and national superintendents, supervisors and other staff. Key Areas of Responsibilities and DutiesExecutes daily management routines according to policies and procedures within prescribed guidelines e.g. ensuring a planned work schedule exists and is followed by each superintendent / supervisor
Complies with established methodologies and quality standards related to energy generation, energy management, water production, water distribution and infrastructure operations and maintenance while at the same time recommending new or alternate approaches
Assists with special projects related to the use of any / all site services
Provides an analysis of work outcomes while providing guidance to an immediate superintendent, supervisor and / or a mentor
Must mentor or train less experienced superintendents / supervisors on standards, procedures, and methods of Utility Operations / Maintenance
Aligns crews and equipment to specific projects in order to meet department goals
Addresses queries and resolves technical issues for internal customers while ensuring service standards are constantly met
Ensures internal customers comply with company policy and procedures and regulations in all aspects of Utilities Operations / Maintenance
Perform team management functions including hiring employees, assigning goals and conducting performance and reviews and facilitating development activities, identifying successors and directing career development of team members, administering disciplinary action, all  in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.
Provides training to internal customers as needed and coaching the Site Services Teams
Works closely with power plant, high voltage, water production, water distribution teams to help meet production goals
Directs the activities of Site Services Superintendents / Supervisors
Acts as a communication linchpin with the team and models the organization’s values
Contributes to the development and revision of policies and procedures
Acts as Site Services Manager in his absence.

Education
College Degree or University accreditation in electrical engineering or mineral processing preferred
Formal professional or technical registration in appropriate area of expertise Experience
10 – 15 years of related work experience, including previous power / water management experience in a utility plant or remote Gold processing plant environment
Supervisory experience required
Previous experience in mining at a remote location is preferred
Must read and write fluently and must be able to communicate to all levels of management Skills
Utility plant operation and maintenance an asset. Complete utility operations knowledge required to perform this job.  Complete knowledge of the principles within power, water and utility networking
English and French proficiency required
Ability to adapt and  learn quickly

Knowledge and experience in a computerized maintenance software (ideally JDE) is an asset

Mission
Le titulaire de ce poste sera responsable du
développement, de la mise en œuvre, de l'amélioration continue et de
l'exécution des stratégies, politiques et directives de Kinross en matière de
gestion des approvisionnements, et ce afin de veiller à la réalisation des
objectifs et des résultats communs pour l'ensemble de la chaîne de
distribution et, notamment, pour les activités de gestion de l'inventaire et
de l'entreposage. Il supervisera toutes les installations d'entreposage et
veillera à garantir que les matériaux et les approvisionnements soient reçus,
livrés, entreposés et documentés de manière sûre et cohérente et dans le
respect des procédures et des stratégies de l'organisation. Il transmettra sa
vision de la gestion des matériaux et établira de solides relations
professionnelles avec les clients internes. Il développera la capacité
générale de gestion des matériaux de Kinross via l'amélioration continue et
le développement de l'organisation.
 
Il est également important que le titulaire de
ce poste garantisse le transfert efficace des connaissances aux ressources
humaines mauritaniennes et qu'il veille à la mise en œuvre d'une gestion
rigoureuse des performances ainsi que des différents plans de succession et de
développement, et ce afin que Kinross puisse atteindre ses objectifs en
matière de mauritanisation.
 
  Principales tâches et responsabilités
·          Prendre des décisions stratégiques sur les futurs
processus de catégorisation des matériaux  appliquer les normes à tous
les niveaux de l'organisation  résoudre les problèmes de collaboration
avec les autres processus des systèmes de chaînes de distribution  et
définir une méthodologie de processus en phase avec l'a philosophie de
l'organisation
·          Formuler des recommandations sur les améliorations des
processus sur la base d'une vaste expérience et de pratiques externes
·          Créer et optimiser continuellement les plans du personnel
d'exploitation de l'entrepôt tout en veillant à garantir leur conformité
·          Assumer la charge de travail qui se centre principalement
sur la gestion et le mouvement des approvisionnements pour les entrepôts
ainsi que sur la gestion de la liste, le développement et la formation du
personnel et la gestion des utilisateurs finaux liés à l'activité de gestion
des approvisionnements (y compris l'inventaire, les consommables, les outils
et les activités de kits)
·          Interagir avec les clients clés, garantir la visibilité
effective de la vision de gestion globale des approvisionnements ainsi
qu'établir et préserver de solides relations de travail avec les clients
internes  garantir la satisfaction de la clientèle
·          Exécuter le paramétrage et élaborer des rapports
hebdomadaires sur les inventaires tournants sur la base du plan d'activité
·          Évaluer et superviser le respect des normes et des
objectifs relatifs aux comptages et recomptages hebdomadaires
·          Développer les compétences et les capacités relatives à
l'élaboration de rapports directs et indirects via un système de commentaires
et d'évaluation du rendement continu
·           Veiller à ce que
toutes les opérations d'entreposage respectent les exigences applicables en
matière de sécurité en encourageant l'application de la culture de sécurité
de l'organisation, y compris la formation du personnel assigné, établir
clairement les attentes en matière de sécurité, veiller à ce que les
évènements dangereux soient examinés en temps voulus et à ce que les
exigences du gouvernement et de Kinross soient à 100% respectées
·          Développer, recommander et mettre en œuvre des programmes
visant à promouvoir les relations de travail et les processus de
communication afin de garantir la réalisation de bonnes pratiques en matière
de processus de gestion de l'inventaire  veiller à ce que les équipes
partagent les bonnes pratiques et les leçons apprises, utilisent des

·          Veiller à ce que les opérations de réception et
l'identification des anomalies soient réalisées dans toutes les installations
d'entreposage et à ce que les transactions soient traitées et résolues en

préservation des pièces protégeant adéquatement les articles de l'inventaire

Lead the execution of strategy for the mill and dump leach operations, and ensure alignment with the organizations overall strategy.   Maximize operational efficiency and profitability of the mills and dump leach.   Lead the operation in an efficient manner consistent with health, safety and environmental standards to achieve production and operating cost goals. It is critical to this role the efficient transfer of knowledge to the local Mauritanian staff ensuring rigorous performance management is implemented as well as succession and development plans are in place with the aim of attaining Kinross Mauritanisation objectives. This role reports to Tasiast Operations Manager and leads a team of expats and national superintendents, supervisors and other staff Key Areas of Responsibility & Duties
Participate with Operations Manager and other senior staff to set production goals and policy for the mine and then direct the activities of the treatment staff to achieve those production goals.  Set performance targets, and measures.
Prepare annual operating plans and budgets for the mill as well as monthly forecasts.  Maintain costs by controlling labor, power, and supplies while achieving production targets.
Develop systems and measures that appropriately assess mill and dump leach operations performance to ensure goal achievement.
Produce monthly reports for the mill department.
Direct the metallurgical accounting and testing activities through the Chief Metallurgist to achieve optimum efficiency in the mill.
Direct the activities of the assay lab through the Chief Chemist and Chief Metallurgist to accomplish the goal of timely and accurate completion of assays and other required testing within budgeted costs.
Perform personnel administration functions including hiring employees, conducting performance reviews, administering disciplinary action, and directing career development of subordinates in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.
Compliance with and implementation of all company policies and procedures.
Assure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards pertaining to mill and dump leach operations by conducting frequent inspections of the facility.
Direct the Mill Superintendent and Mill CI Coordinator in coordinating operations and maintenance  in the mill, including scheduling shutdowns for major work, establishing priorities, monitoring,  preventative maintenance and assuring that areas are ready for production and maintenance as scheduled.
Acts as a change agent and project sponsor to drive key initiatives; models the Kinross values, and prioritizes business goals.
Actively supports and encourages an atmosphere of continuous improvement within the organization, and drives operational and efficiency improvements ideas.
Actively develops direct reports and helps overcome barriers.
Builds the capabilities of the team to enhance the operations ability to achieve the financial and operating strategy; identifies role succession requirements and develops “high potential” talent.  Develop an evergreen succession plan for the organization.
Leads and manages a senior team of superintendents, chiefs and other mill staff.

Education
BS degree in Metallurgical or Chemical engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Additional specialized education, including a masters level degree, is preferred.
Formal professional designation in the area of expertise is preferred. Experience

Previous leadership experience within the mining industry.
Experience in Plant Operations with increasing levels of responsibility is preferred.

The Site Manager will provide special focus and be responsible for direct interfacing and alignment with Kinross Operations and Regional Management in those areas of activities and will ensure that they operate smoothly to support the main construction work on site. Strategically, the role requires the Site Manager to establish the required relationships within Kinross Project Team, Kinross Operations, Kinross Regional Management, Hatch EPCM team, Site Contractors and third parties to ensure successful project execution on site.

l'entretien mécanique sûr, efficace, précis et rentable de la flotte d'équipement

Purpose of Role
Responsible for the acquisition of services and administration of Contracts,
primarily for medium to high range spend and/or medium level risk. Support
compliance of Kinross policies and procedures, contract and commercial

 Key areas of responsibility and duties
  ·          Support the continuous improvement and execution of Kinross contracting
strategy, policies and guidelines in regard to service categories and
contracts; is accountable for value-added services for Contract Owners/Users,
cost savings, and other performance metrics.
·          Coordinate the services contracting annual requirements with the user
areas as well as identify and develop suppliers in the market to support
commercial and operational needs.

Main responsibilities are: 

Successful performance of the

following:
a.        AFE process, training & reporting
b.       Capital cost coding / Construction in Progress (CIP)
c.        Depreciations and Accumulated depreciations analysis
d.       Accounting Guidance ( IFRS & PCM )
e.        Fixed Asset Reconciliations & Roll-forwards
f.        Create a monitor system of controls and procedures for
fixed assets classification.
g.        Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in
the accounting system.

Language Requirements:   Ability

Responsible for metallurgical performance of all mill unit operations.  Supervises and directs metallurgical staff.  Provides daily technical support to mill operations.  Develops and directs lab and plant test programs for improving mill performance.  Assists operations with implementation of new plant practices. Prepares reports on departmental projects, consumables, metallurgical balances and production. Develops budgets and forecasting tools, and proactively manages production and costs. It is critical to this role the efficient transfer of knowledge to the local Mauritanian staff ensuring rigorous performance management is implemented as well as succession and development plans are in place with the aim of attaining Kinross Mauritanisation objectives. This role reports to Tasiast Process Manager and leads a team of expats and national superintendents, supervisors and other staff. Key Areas of Responsibility & Duties
Interact with mill operations and mill maintenance to maximize mill efficiencies in a safe and environmentally sensitive manner.
Provide daily technical support to troubleshoot and correct mill metallurgical problems.

Sous l'autorité directe du directeur des services du site de Tasiast, le titulaire de ce poste dirigera une équipe de superviseurs, de surintendants expatriés et nationaux, parmi d'autres.

Principales tâches et responsabilités
Exécuter des routines quotidiennes de gestion conformément aux stratégies et aux procédures énoncées dans les directives telles que, par exemple, garantir l'existence d'un programme de travail et son application par chaque surintendant/superviseur
Respecter les méthodologies et les normes de qualité applicables en matière de génération d'énergie, de gestion de l'énergie, de production d'eau, de distribution d'eau et d'opérations et de maintenance des infrastructures tout en proposant parallèlement de nouvelles approches alternatives
Participer aux projets spéciaux relatifs à l'utilisation de tout service du site
Mener une analyse des résultats du travail tout en offrant un soutien au surintendant, superviseur et/ou mentor immédiat
Offrir un encadrement ou une formation aux surintendants/superviseurs moins expérimentés en matière de normes, de procédures et de méthodes applicables aux opérations/à la maintenance des équipements
Assigner des équipes et des équipements à des tâches spécifiques afin d'atteindre les objectifs fixés pour le département
Traiter les requêtes et résoudre les problèmes techniques inhérents à la clientèle interne tout en veillant à toujours respecter les normes de services
Veiller à ce que la clientèle interne respecte les stratégies, les procédures et les normes corporatives en matière d'opérations/de maintenance des équipements
Assumer les responsabilités de gestionnaire d'une équipe telles que l'embauche d'employés, l'assignation d'objectifs, l'évaluation de la performance, la réalisation de contrôles, l'encouragement d'activités de développement, l'identification de successeurs, la direction du développement des carrières des membres de l'équipe et l'application de sanctions disciplinaires, le tout en collaboration avec le département des ressources humaines
Assurer la formation requise de la clientèle interne et l'encadrement des équipes des services du site
Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes de la centrale électrique, de haute tension, de production d'eau et de distribution d'eau afin de contribuer à l'atteinte des objectifs de production
Diriger les activités des surintendants/superviseurs des services du site
Faciliter la communication au sein de l'équipe et représenter les valeurs de l'organisation
Contribuer au développement et à la révision des stratégies et des procédures
Remplir les fonctions de directeur des services du site en son absence
Réaliser toute autre tâche de gestion requise

Compétences requises
Formation

Diplôme collégial ou universitaire en ingénierie électrique ou en traitement des minerais souhaité
Immatriculation professionnelle ou technique officielle dans un domaine d'expertise apparenté

Expérience professionnelle

10 à 15 ans d'expérience professionnelle dans un domaine apparenté ainsi qu'une expérience préalable en matière de gestion de l'eau/de l'énergie au sein d'une installation d'utilités ou d'une usine de traitement d'or reculée
Expérience à un niveau de supervision requise
Expérience préalable au sein d'une exploitation minière isolée souhaitée
Capacité à lire et à écrire parfaitement et à communiquer avec tous les niveaux de l'organisation
 

Aptitudes

Maintenance et opération d'une installation d'utilités est un atout Parfaite maîtrise des connaissances nécessaires à l'accomplissement de ce travail ; connaissances exhaustives des principes des réseaux d'énergie, d'eau et de services
Connaissances approfondies de l'anglais et du français requises

Transfert des connaissances - Conseiller, guider et former des superviseurs nationaux en développant leurs compétences afin qu'ils puissent remplir leurs fonctions de manière autonome et continuer à élargir leurs responsabilités en matière de santé, sécurité, environnement, ressources humaines, onces d'or produites, dépenses totales, coûts unitaires, AC (amélioration continue), production et efficacité.

Santé, sécurité et environnement

Respecter l'ensemble des exigences, lois et normes de Kinross/Tasiast/Mauritanie applicables en matière de sécurité, de santé des travailleurs et d'environnement
Assumer la responsabilité personnelle de la santé et de la sécurité de chaque mineur travaillant sous sa supervision ou responsabilité Mener des inspections périodiques
Répondre aux urgences pouvant causer des blessures au personnel ou une perte de la production
Fournir un encadrement et une expertise en matière d'enquêtes des accidents/incidents afin de permettre à la direction d'identifier les aspects des pratiques de travail sujets à amélioration

Mauritanisation

Transférer les connaissances entre les expatriés et les employés nationaux, ainsi que promouvoir et soutenir le programme de formation et de développement des capacités des employés nationaux (IDP)
Veiller à ce que la formation/le développement individuel soit mené conformément aux exigences en matière de planification de la succession

AC (Amélioration continue)

Identifier les possibilités d'amélioration de l'efficacité et de la performance des processus miniers pouvant générer un impact positif sur la productivité des équipements et, par conséquent, améliorer la production et réduire les coûts
Garantir l'amélioration continue via une évaluation, un plan d'action, des actions de rapport et de suivi adaptées ; et développer une culture d'amélioration continue sur le lieu de travail

Production et rendement

Collaborer avec les départements de maintenance de la mine et de formation afin d'identifier les aspects de l'exploitation générant un impact négatif sur la fiabilité de l'équipement et de développer des solutions acceptables
Informer les superviseurs nationaux des options disponibles pour garantir le respect et l'exécution des plans quotidiens et hebdomadaires
