Fully owned by Kinross, the Kupol mine consists of an underground operation. It is located in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug of the Far East Region of the Russian Federation. The Kupol mine consists of a high-grade gold and silver vein. |

• Develop documents required for underground mining operations in compliance with safety requirements.
• Periodically visit the underground mine workings. • Oversight implementation of design documents. • Attend safety and planning meetings. • Develop presentations for mining meetings. • Work with consultants for geotechnical support when needed. • Ensure that geotechnical instrumentation, systems are utilized efficiently and effectively. • Support Kinross “The Way We Work” system, following all applicable corporate safety standards and government regulations. • Develop and deliver internal and external status reports, summaries, analyses as required by technical or regulatory demands. • Maintain and track documents, reports, and drawings. This role will also help support other functions within the Mine Technical Service Department when required. |

• At least three years of relevant mining engineering experience.
• Underground Mining experience. • At least Bachelor’s degree in the sphere of Underground Mining of mineral deposits or similar authorizing work as Mining Engineer. • Right to supervise mining and blasting operations and a valid blaster's uniform certificate. • Must not have medical conditions that prevent passing the medical examination to work on rotation schedule • Must be able to work in a team. • Must demonstrate knowledge on the following areas: Underground Mining Design. • Must be an Advanced User of PC and able to work in MS Office, AutoCAD, Micromine. • Experience working in a cross cultural environment, coupled with knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities presented to those living in the Arctic conditions. |
