Tends to one or more mills that grind materials, such as rock/ore using chemical reagents and steel balls to achieve required material fineness; monitors process control panel board and regulates inflow/outflow of materials adding reagents to ensure attainment of specified production goals for a 24/7 operation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:






Ø Operates, inspects, and monitors crushing, processing and refining equipment to achieve the highest possible ore recovery.






Ø Performs mechanical tasks when needed that are within the scope of training and skills.






Ø Responsible for keeping a clean work area.






Ø Responsible for pre-shift inspections, including equipment.






Ø Communicate effectively with other operators in order to maintain continuity of operating strategies.






Ø Responsible for maintaining written logs in a precise and orderly manner.






Ø Punctuality and regular attendance are required.






Ø Compliance with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to safety, confidentiality and environmental policies.






Ø Meet or exceed established performance expectations set by management.






Ø Work without significant risk of harm to self and others.






Ø Possess a valid driver's license issued by the state.






ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:






Perform other duties as assigned.


Ø  A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Employees must have sufficient education to read and write instructions, perform simple mathematical calculations, and keep records.






Ø  Strong oral and written communication and problem solving skills.






Ø  General background in milling and/or processing preferred.






Ø  Ability to function within the qualifications outlined by the physical demands.






Ø  Ability to work with others in a team environment.






Ø  Work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule to include overtime, holidays and weekends required.






Ø  Wage advancement is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of increasingly progressive tasks.
