Kinross Round Mountain is an open pit mining operation located in Nye County, Nevada. Round Mountain is proud to have earned commendations for its safety and environmental initiatives.

Under the general supervision of the Ore Processing Manager, the incumbent gives ore processing production aid to the company and to the outside managers , and does accounting management while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross’ values .
 
Essential Functions

1.   Type, answer phones, use adding machine, and perform other general clerical functions.
2.   Edit and input payroll into JDE and ensure that upgrades are accurate.
3.   Inputs work orders, office supplies PR’s and department travel arrangements.
4.   Check timesheets for accuracy on a weekly basis. Track absences including sick, PTO, leaves, etc. and ensures these are coded correctly on timesheets.
5.   Maintain bulletin boards, CI board owner and distribute mail.
6.   Take department meeting notes and distribute.
7.   Set up schedules for quarterly employee and Prosnap meetings.
8.   Input data for any other report that is required by the department.
9.   Track discipline and reviews, distribute to proper departments.
10.   Make and maintain various spreadsheets and distribute.
11.   Provide assistance to personnel, both hourly and salaried.
12.   Learn new procedures and show others in the department how to use them.
13.   Track incident reports and leading indicators and turn into Safety by the monthly deadline.
14.   Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct.
15.   Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management.
16.   Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance.
17.   Works without risk or harm to self and others.
18.   Punctuality and regular attendance required.
19.   Helps develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above.
20.   Performs other related functions as assigned by supervisor.

1.   Must be able to organize workload. The duties of the job are generally addressed by systems, procedures and standard rules of operation. Supervision is present to assign and review work, address exceptions, and answer operational questions.
2.   Should be focused, creative, analytical, and able to problem solve.
3.   1-2 years of office experience required.
4.   Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.
5.   General understanding of mining operations, as well as limited understanding of milling and maintenance operations.
6.   Working knowledge and skill with P.C. utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, JDE is essential, and presentation software.
7.   Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
8.   Ability to work independently and also as a member of the management team.
9.   Demonstrates strong administrative, organizational and technical writing skills.
10.   Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis.
11.   Requires valid driver’s license.
