Expectations Incumbent’s office will be at Tasiast The incumbent will be on a 6/3 rotation Develop Security Investigations Plan Collaborate with Regional and Operations Security Managers to ensure cases are recorded, classified and investigated Interview suspects, accused and witnesses Prepare monthly investigations report for the Regional Security Manager Attend Security meetings Give input on Crime prevention measures Prepare and submit to the Regional Security Manager Final Investigations Report after completion of each investigation Comply with and maintain Kinross GSSP as related to investigations Ensure proper hand over notes to the Regional Security Manager before going out n rotation Shall be committed to develop and train nationals in the Security team Be part of the Tasiast Security Team Specific Tasks Investigate all incidents of theft, fraud, corruption, collusion and others cases Identify and train a Mauritanian national as part of succession plan and development program Develop own network of informants Input data and reports into SIMS (Security Incident Management System) Share progress with Regional Security Manager Responsibility for implementing the Kinross Way for project security by managing the GSSP and ensuring general compliance Monitor and report on investigation action plans to mitigate/prevent repeat incidents Give input into preventative measure to be taken to improve general and site security. Advise senior project and contractor management regarding security threats and protection strategies. Develop, and disseminate security investigation data and reports to the Regional Security Manager for Chirano, Nouakchott and Tasiast Interacts with and provides support all department managers for matters such as difficult terminations, investigations, special event security, and other security related matters. Any other relevant task or instruction that may be given to you Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or Security related matters. Additional specialized education, including masters level degree or equivalent would be beneficial Formal security training, certifications and special proven investigation experience required Excellent computer skill with Microsoft Office suite proficiency Proven Analytical and Organizational Skills; Strong Communication (Written and Oral) mandatory; Fluency in French and English; Arabic is highly desirable Additional Qualifications & Skill Requirements 10+ years’ experience in security management work with international experience; experience in mining industry and in third world countries, especially Africa, highly desirable; 5+ years’ investigation experience in Investigation related work Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills Attention to detail Well organized, works well independently and in team settings, possesses good time-management skills, and is able to work effectively under pressure Good understanding of African Culture with cross cultures experience |
