Under the general supervision of the Crusher and Mill General Forman, the incumbent is responsible for the safe, efficient operations of crusher and mill facilities while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross’ values.
 
Essential Functions

1. Assign crews and equipment to specific tasks in order to meet daily mine production goals.
2. Supervise crew activities during shifts to ensure safe and efficient accomplishment of assignments.
3. Develop crew skills to levels of maximum efficiency and safety.
4. Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct.
5. Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management.
6. Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance.
7. Works without risk or harm to self and others.
8. Punctuality and regular attendance required.
9. Helps develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above.
10.   Performs other related functions as assigned by supervisor.

1. It is important that the incumbent foster team spirit among crew members, motivating them to meet production goals.
2. Must show careful attention to planning in order to reduce inefficiencies.
3. Must be able to adapt to constant shift changes.
4. Requires five years’ operating experience in the mineral processing industry.
5. At least two years of direct supervisory experience or adequate supervisory training is required.
6. Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.
7. General understanding of mining operations, as well as limited understanding of crushing, milling, and maintenance operations.
8. Working knowledge and skill with P.C. utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.
9. Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
10.   Ability to work independently and also as a member of the management team.
11.   Demonstrates strong administrative, organizational and technical writing skills.
12.   Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis.
13.   Requires valid driver’s license.
