Job Summary
Under the direction of the Accounting Superintendent, will coordinate and manage site activities related to month-end close of general ledger and financial reporting in compliance with Kinross policies, GAAP and IFRS. Ensure service and operating standards are met processing transactions that impact site cash-flow. Assist site accounting team with timely and accurate variance analysis across multiple departments while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross’ values. Essential Functions 1. Performs month-end, quarter-end, year-end close of site general ledger. 2. Coordinate accounting, financial planning activities and projects across multiple site departments. 3. Advises on a variety of internal and external requests regarding cost analysis and financial statements. 4. Recommends and implements improvements to financial procedures and controls to maximize operational efficiencies. 5. Investigates, researches, and analyzes information and issues. 6. Prepares technical documents to support decision making. 7. Prepares and retains technical reports and documentation of financial records to ensure compliance with industry and operational requirements. 8. Communicates information related to variance analysis and helps to determine proper path forward. 9. Provides information on operating standards, compliance requirements, and policies. 10. Helps develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above. 11. Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct. 12. Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management. 13. Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance. 14. Works without risk or harm to self and others. 15. Punctuality and regular attendance required. 16. Performs other related functions as assigned by supervisor. |

Qualifications and Skill Requirements
1. Undergraduate degree from an accredited University. 2. Accounting degree preferred. 3. CPA or MBA preferred. 4. 5 – 8 years of related work experience in a mining or continuous process environment. 5. General Ledger experience with an integrated ERP/MRP software package coordinating multiple business units and proper allocations. 6. Previous experience in the mining industry with a SOX regulated entity is preferred. 7. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills. 8. Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills. 9. General understanding of open pit mining, heap leach, milling and maintenance operations. 10. Intermediate level knowledge and skill of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). 11. Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management. 12. Demonstrates strong administrative, organizational and technical writing skills. 13. Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis. 14. Requires valid driver’s license.
