Safe and efficient operation of haulage units to transport and dump ore, waste rock and other materials with the ability to work to finish. Carry out assignments free of constant supervision. Properly record load type and location hauled, source and destination, and hours worked. Recognize, avoid and report any potential or actual hazards. Check, monitor and inspect truck during pre-operation inspection and while operating. The schedule is rotating day and night shift work. *** Kinross Fort Knox is not a camp mine *** Operates trucks in accordance with S.O.P. and supervisor instruction to achieve production goals Must visually inspect high wall, haul roads, and dumps for ground stability and other hazards and report problems Promote safety by advising haul road traffic of the location of other equipment and hazards Perform and document walk-around pre-shift inspections and monitor instrument gauges frequently Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance |

High school diploma or equivalent General background in heavy equipment operation 6 months of mining or mobile equipment experience preferred Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Must possess a valid driver’s license Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis |
