Son but principal est d’occuper une position mondiale prédominante dans la génération de richesses grâce à une exploitation minière responsable.

Le bureau régional africain de Kinross se trouve à Las Palmas, dans les îles Canaries. Il est chargé d'assurer la direction et le soutien administratif des mines d’or situées au Ghana et en Mauritanie.
The position is described in English as incumbent must possess a high level of English, native France and ideally some Spanish.

 Purpose of the Role
 
Reporting to the Regional Tax Director, Africa, the Senior Tax Manager will be involved
in multi-disciplinary matters with the aim of supporting and enhancing
statutory accounting for Mauritania, as well as reporting tax information as
per the Kinross standards and participating in tax planning for Africa. 


Key Tasks and Areas of Responsibility: 

-  Preparation/review of corporate financial reporting tax reports packages including
local GAAP & IFRS for current income and deferred taxes, and UTPs; 


-  Procedural support and control over tax reports preparation by accounting
department for government compliance purposes; 


-   Procedural support and verification of supporting documentation for tax purposes,
including transfer pricing issues; 


 -   Procedural support and control over fiscal accounting and taxation issues including accounting policies and
procedures; 


-  Generally support for accounting for taxes,
and projects related to all applicable taxes, including income tax, withholding
taxes and VAT. 


-  Review local financial statements and managing
their preparation to completion; 


-  Onsite support over tax audits, and resolution of tax-related disputes including
judicial contests and administrative contest of tax authorities acts; 

 -  Tax planning and analysis in respect of the annual budgeting and forecasting process; 

 - Conducting training sessions for taxation, and posting and recording of tax transactions with ERP; 

 -  Participation in the implementation of Finance projects; 

 - Participation in tax planning matters for Africa 



  
Education 

  Recognized accounting designation (French diplome d’expertise comptable or equivalent). Accounting and tax background is mandatory. 
  
  Experience 
  
Experienced accountant with international tax experience, 
Minimum of eight-year experience in an audit/accounting compliance department of an
international accounting firm, or industry, with corporate income tax
Experience, including exposure to international tax planning.   
Experience with intercompany transactions and understanding of transfer pricing. 
Experience with French-type GAAP, and experience in dealing with IFRS .  
Experience leading projects of varying scope and complexity  

  Knowledge and Skills 

Exceptional organizational skills including filing and document management. 
Experience with French-type GAAP, and experience in dealing with IFRS . 
Knowledge of Mauritanian GAAP is a plus  
Ability
to work effectively, both in a dynamic team environment, and individually (with
limited supervision). 
Excellent
time and project management skills, as evidenced by experience successfully
managing competing priorities. 
Effective
and efficient communication skills – including the ability to clearly document
work and present analysis/findings in a concise manner. 
Strong Skills
with Microsoft Office Suite. 
Fluent in
English and French; 
Knowledge and experience with ERP-systems.  
Outstanding technical and managerial skills required  
Strong business ethics with a value-based approach to business and 
relationship building  
Experience leading projects of varying scope and complexity  
Skills with financial and tax software; computer skills in spreadsheet 
modeling, word processing, tax return preparation and tax 
research 
Ability to learn quickly  


Frequent travel in
the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and occasional travel to Ghana is required
for this position.
