The job MAY involve and of the listed below:
- Data capture, entry and interpretation. - Mapping and prospecting - Geotechnical and geological logging of drill core - Data compilation and digitization using MapInfo GIS software. - Administrative tasks- filing, scanning/photocopying and organizing. - Research- deposit models, prospective Au-districts etc. - Introduction to geological modelling using Leapfrog. - Assist the Exploration Team whenever necessary. - Report to the Exploration manager and project geologist when in the field. - Work time will be shared between the field and office. - Must be Toronto based but with frequent travel required to and from the field. We work mostly in northern Quebec and Ontario. |

Would prefer to have a student with at least 1 summer of field experience – 3rd year student would be ideal unless it is an outstanding 2nd year candidate.
- Previous field experience an asset (core logging, mapping, prospecting, soil sampling). - Must have GIS experience. - 3D modelling an asset. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Intermediate-advanced Excel user. - Access database an asset - Must enjoy working outdoors. - French speaking an asset. - The job can be physically demanding. |
