| Manage and improve Kinross’ IT security by working with both corporate and regional IT teams across the globe.
Oversee the operations of the enterprise's security solutions through management of the organization's security analysts. Establish an enterprise security stance through policy, architecture and training processes. Perform people management responsibilities for all members within the security department. Work is advanced in its complexity and involves new methodologies, approaches, or products requiring the interpretation of information to make recommendations. This position provides technical expertise to multiple projects simultaneously. Problem resolution involves a high degree of independent judgment to interpret policy in situations where considerable variation in interpretation is possible. Applies theoretical concepts or original approaches to complete projects or assignments. Work is assessed based on attainment of objectives and effectiveness of results. |

| Provide IT security advice and counsel to IT, Legal, HR, and Security management worldwide
Develop yearly plans for security enhancement projects Enhance existing security documentation to provide IT professionals and the business with clear direction on security practices and procedures Raise awareness of security in IT and across the business Work with project teams across the business to identify and capture security requirements for new systems and applications Review system configurations and application architecture for security issues Support technology procurement through vendor discussions and contract review Perform both periodic and on demand risk assessments of sites and technologies Assist server, networking, application, and client service teams to deploy systems in a secure manner Collaborate with physical security professionals responsible for securing Kinross mine sites Assist in incident response and forensic analysis to support investigations or litigation IT Security operations Provide regular reporting to IT senior management on the state and performance of the IT Security operations Perform people management responsibilities for all members within the security department. #LI-MS |
